| A good fiend of mine got his installed before I got mine .. but I figured I'd share some quick observations .. apologies on the cell phone pics ..

Seb / Specialty Z provided a wiring harness to make this "plug and play" with the stock ECU wiring harness and provided a baseline setting to get us started. I grabbed my iphone headphones and plugged them into the knockbox and off we went. It was interesting hearing all the engine noise from crusing to WOT. I turned the sensitivity down a 1/4 knotch because the knock box was picking up normal engine noise.
Ran a few pulls and WOT on pump gas and again on water injection setup. Interesting that the water injection setup provided more "noise" but it quickly went away when the spray was on. Kinda makes sense because the timing is more aggressive on that particular tune. I imagine that this will be a big savor to the VGDETT motor when the heat increases or in times of bad gas. Throughout it all, I didn't hear any detonation. This knockbox is / can be very sensitive. Awesome piece of equipment and IMHO a must for tuners. pic from Specialty Z website -
I have Greg looking into if it's possible to connect a wire that sends a signal to a relay to cut off a boost controller. Personally, I think every modified Z that runs high boost levels should have one especially if your motor has a few miles on it. Even the casual driver can benefit from this.
